YOU CANNOT STAND STILL ON A MOVING TREADMILL

I have been a hairdresser for twenty-seven years and I still love it as a hobby. I believe I will always love it just as an artist will always paint because it is where he gets his joy and satisfaction. This is what makes him feel alive, gives him something to look forward to and something to give meaning to his day. Only those that create know the 'feeling" they gets when they have finished a masterpiece

I have had a website on the internet since 1997, and have always been blessed to be on the top ten results in the search engines for the category of hair seminars whether one used the short or long tailed version of the search-words --- long hair styling seminars. I concentrated on search engine optimization for a long while .

I spend most of the night even now studying different aspects of the internet.. I realize the internet is changing so rapidly that one cannot stand still without changing with the way things are going. It is like standing on a running treadmill. You don't stay where you are, you move backwards and you have to run to stay where you are.

I was on the internet when the term ''blog" was first coined and I always thought about doing some blogging but I was not sure what I should blog about. I feared that I wouldn't be 'smart' enough to put something there that the whole world could see.

I have looked at the top gurus and internet personalities and have come to the understanding that the difference between those that do and those that don't do are that those that do are doing it.-so I am starting to blog. What am I going to blog about ? Well, I will be writing about things that interest me and hopefully interest you.

While hairdressing we talk about many things, I find that what most people were interested in and commented on were about motivation and positive mental attitude. They said they like coming to me because they left motivated. I get a lot of emails from all over the world and from many internet personalities, the ones that I always open are those that uplift and motivate me. So that is what I'll be writing about.

I believe that the best professions are those that serve people, whether it be waiters, waitresses to doctors. I enjoy serving people, I enjoy making people feel better about themselves emotionally or about their looks .I can empathize with them in their pain, celebrate with them in their happiness or praise them in their achievement. It also helps me. According to Hellen Keller who said,
''Believe, when you are most unhappy, that there is something for you to do in the world. So long as you can sweeten another's pain, life is not in vain.'

"When we are motivated by goals that have deep meaning, by dreams that needs completion, by pure love that need expressing, then we truly live life"

I hope to share also some of the things I learnt from the years of searching the internet for an easier life. It used to be said "Don't work harder, work smarter ", that is now changed to 'Don't work harder or smarter, work less"

I will be sharing with you some ideas as to how to take advantage of your time by spending less time trying to make a living and spending more time living. More time to do what you like doing, spending time with your family, playing with your kids, watching them growing up, not having to put up with a grouchy boss, living in the house you are working to live in but can't because you have to be at work to pay for it. If you take advantage of only a few ideas then though you might not be able to leave your job you would have some extra cash to play with.
